We have reached our final chapter in our 3-part series, but don’t worry if you want to find out more about this subject just follow the links throughout the series.

Continuing from the People’s Assembly and the outcome they reached which was 26 urgent calls to action. Some of which include:

  • Nature Friendly Farming (supporting and inspiring farmers to engage in nature friendly practices)

  • Food retailers to reduce food waste.

  • Greater access to sustainable locally grown and affordable food.

  • Establishment of Marine National Parks.

  • Making access to nature a basic human right.

  • Information about the state of Nature to be readily available and easily understandable to public.

To make the above a reality the Assembly has called on National governments, businesses, charities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), individuals and their communities to come together and commit to achieving the best outcome for nature and bring the People’s Plan to Life.

‘The work of the Assembly members demonstrates the passion and power that exist among the people of the UK to work towards protecting and restoring nature’

At Unite in Aviva we are already doing our part for nature as every time we recruit a new member, we fund two trees as well as continuously funding various projects each month, you can find out more here. As part of our commitment to tackling climate change and supporting Biodiversity we have funded the restoration of 22m2 of habitat in the UK.
